Goalkeeper
Carljohan Eriksson 5.2m
Mjällby kept another clean sheet in GW29 in a chaotic away fixture to Östersund that had to be paused multiple times to shovel up massive amounts of snow from the pitch. Carljohan Eriksson remains one of the best goalkeeping options, and a home fixture to Örebro looks enticing on paper.
Defenders
Eric Larsson 7.1m
The attacking Malmö defender Eric Larsson has seemingly re-established himself as first choice for the right wing back spot (injuries to other players will have played a part in this too). 31 points in his 5 last games, Larsson carries an attacking threat backed up by some bonus points appeal as well (3 OB, 6DB in his last 5 games).
Elohor Godswill Ekpolo 7.1m
Elohor Godswill Ekpolo is averaging 5.4 points per game over his 10 last appearances. A trip to Sirius will test Häcken’s defensive prowess which will likely lead to more defensive bonus points for Ekpolo, and he offers an attacking outlet which could generate points in GW29.
Joel Nilsson 6.2m
Joel Nilsson is in exceptional form, scoring 3 goals, 3 assists and keeping 6 clean sheets in his 10 last games. With an already relegated Örebro side coming to town, Mjällby have the opportunity to both confirm their status as belonging to Allsvenskan next season, but also put on a bit of a show for the home fans.
Midfielders
Paulinho Guerreiro 7.8m
Owned by a measly 63 managers in the game at the time of writing, Paulinho took up a partnership with Astrit Selmani up top for Hammarby in GW28. With Selmani now suspended for the trip to Halmstad, the onus is on Paulinho to provide the spark needed up front, particularly if Ludwigson continues to be needed to cover for the injured Mohanad Jeahze at left wing back. Paulinho will be keen to make an impact in his (potentially) final two games for the club, after a long period of injuries kept him out of contention.
Hosam Aiesh 7.9m
Göteborg are now confirmed to be playing in Allsvenskan next season and the pressure is off completely as already relegated Östersund comes to visit. Hosam Aiesh provided 12 points in GW28 but crucially, he has been delivering a consistent output of bonus points lately, manging 8 offensive and 6 defensive bonus points in his 6 last appearances. Aiesh also has a history with Östersund, where he spent 3 seasons at the club and provided 16 goals and 24 assists in 112 appearances.
Veljko Birmancevic 8.9m
Veljko Birmancevic have been oddly consistent in flattering to deceive this season, as 9 goals, 5 assists, 14 offensive and 8 defensive bonus points still feels like an underachievement given how good he’s looked at times. Now traveling to an attack minded Kalmar side with the title all but confirmed for Malmö - IF they can win the final two games – Birmancevic should be able to get in the points again.
Patrik Wålemark 7.6m
Patrik Wålemark did not let an away fixture to Malmö stop his amazing form as he found the back of the net once more in GW28. 9 goals and 12 assists is an incredible tally for the season, especially given the fact that he was not a nailed regular in the side until the second half of the season. Sirius should provide Wålemark with more opportunities for points in GW29.
Sören Rieks 8.0m
Malmö are going for gold and Sören Rieks is back from suspension, averaging 6,35 points per 90 minutes in an injury ravaged season. 6 goals and 1 assist speak volumes if you look at the very limited minutes that he has been able to feature, and he is always hungry for goals which bodes well for the trip to Kalmar.
Forwards
Oscar Vilhelmsson 3.9m
Young talent Oscar Vilhelmsson is getting regular minutes for Göteborg at a ridiculously cheap price-tag. Recently managing to turn some of the effort into points as well with 2 goals and 1 assist in his 4 last appearances, Vilhelmsson should be given the chance to shine in front of the home fans who will be celebrating another stint in the top division.
Jacob Bergström 6.1m
Jacob Bergström finally managed to turn some of his xG into actual goals, netting twice in GW29. Still managing just 7 goals from an xG of 14.19 on the season, Bergström looks like an enticing pick at home to relegated Örebro.
Captain Pick
Every week in the Scout Picks, a captain is selected from the 11 chosen players. The Captain Pick is meant to give some guidance into who has the biggest potential for points this Gameweek and who looks relatively safe, according to the Scout.
This Gameweek the Captain Pick is Hosam Aiesh. Göteborg are likely to want to put on a show for the fans with all pressure of them, as they entertain rock bottom Östersund who have conceded 32 goals in 14 games away from home. Östersund will be missing key players Kpozo, Bellman, and potentially Keita as well to make matters even worse.
